Well, the majority of the people that I have encountered online at PSC and other sites are all having them this week, next week, or the week after next, so it'd be nice to at least get halfway through that period before this thing starts up.
If it starts much later it'll interfere with the summer plans of some of us adult types. Good thing I'll probably be out before round 3 anyway. 
I don't care much for which date it'll be. I just want to know so I can plan accordingly.

obiously I'm voting for the 28th as my new modem will arrive the 23th at home (damned slow isp service grmbl... technical they are good, but for the rest... sigh)
(but I have backup, luckily I have a live apart from my computer and I know a few people in their fysical substance, yey)

Well that was an exhausting 7 weeks. Who would have thought that finest call and I would make it to the the Championship? I'm shocked by the final result. It was certainly a close one. I'm going on a 2 week vacation. I'll be back January 8, 2008.

The date will be this Monday. An announcement will be made. I don't think we'll be able to find a better date, as some will go away, some will have exams, some will have something else.
I am not sure if that is what people want , but what I can do is extend the chopping and voting time. We could also just have a round every 2 weeks.

I think extending the chopping time would be better than extending the voting time. And 2 weeks is a long period!

Please Mr.Procyon, Pick one annual start date and stick with it. Pick one set of rules and stick with it.
2 weeks? Why not just make it a month? That way, The winner will have a nice Christmas.
Leave it to a bunch of neurotic choppers to make a relatively simple contest more complicated than chinese arithmetic.
