so gref the two clocks i just built could run out of sync?
the local clock is pulling time from the veiwes computer, the psc clock is pulling time from??????? the internet???

PS could a few .ppl from around the world tell me if the clocks are working
PPS anyone wanting the .swf or the .fla PM me

yup, they can run out of sync

for the first (the local pc), you're dependent, well on the local pc. Since Flash is a client sided application, the time comes from the time set on the clients pc.

For the second, If your pulling it from a server then basically you're pulling it from a different place then the first timer. Then you're dependent on that server.

Anyway you look at it, the chance that both pc's (the client and the server), tick at the exact time interval is rather slim. So eventually there will be a sync problem.

Since most pc's are now able to synchronize their time with a time server, and both client and server from above will likely be doing that, The effect is negligible Smile

But, fact remains, they can run out of sync.

*ps: might be this explanation is not very clear, sorry for that :p

We are from Mars! As the sun cooled down it was far to cold there so we jumped over to the third planet. Very Happy
