Yesterday i surfed a bit and i found this on Deviantart:
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55403894/?qo=14&q=by%3Amehmeturgut&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps
(btw, if its photography why i can see a sort of double-cloning" like mark on it (check well), is it linked the shuterring...i dont think the guy lies...can be part of the discussion in this thread if u want).
Here's my point:
Some political personnalities in France doesn't seem to agree to let enter Turquey in Europa...its a shame....regarding these fantatsic artists (weve got a great turquish win today by Hero!!Smile)
this is absurd. And a great communauty of Turks in France too.
I wonder what Germany an England (but Germany has a lot of turkish people)thinks about this, what their president thinks about this etc...

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam
Why they changed it I can't say
People just liked it better that way....

Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Now it's Turkish delight on a moonlit night

Every gal in Constantinople
Lives in Istanbul, not Constantinople
So if you've a date in Constantinople
She'll be waiting in Istanbul

I don't want to start a political argument here because I'm not bothered if they let them join the EU or not BUT...
It's not a case of how friendly some some them are but it's a case of geography. There's only a tiny bit of Turkey that's actually in Europe. The big chunk of it is in Asia.Wink
It boarders Iraq and some of them are friendly so should they let them join too. Laughing

I have to agree with anfa... Turkey should not join the EU purely based on their geographical location as well as culture. I have nothing against turks but its like letting japan join the EU. It just doesn't work...

You couldn't anyway, The United States is annexing Japan. Laughing

(not true, obviously, but adds to your example of how odd it would be. Wink )
