Another old old member takes an alias, wins right away, and everybody
pats the new guy on the back. after he spends two weeks doing all he can to wind the site up into one big frenzy of frustration. ..He'll be rewarded with a super high vpp and psscore that you will never match.
Another alias starts half the active threads on the board after being
banned from PSC twice.
The former and now the new owner take the most unusual webmaster position of totally ignoring the problem.Easy to understand when the aliases are buying advantage accounts for all their multiple names.
So fine...aliases pay the bills so the site is reluctant to do anything about it.
The argument for a couple years has been "Oh but Chopper runs trivia in chat and that's a good alias, don't get rid of aliases".
There are now no alias accounts that do anything to benefit this site from the perspective of other members.
I pay for this service too. I expect a little customer service once in awhile. I expect the bare minimum of service at the least. At least some
semblance of site rules that are enforced, and the LEAST of these being
that members have only one account that can vote, post entries, or use forums.
The site has no known policy on aliases, if it thinks it does, as a paying member I would like to know what that is.

can't agree more, aliases do my head in, I see no point to them, and ones that have several paying accounts... what the hell Rolling Eyes just say and do what you gotta say and do from one account, anyone who hides behind random aliases must just be cowardly and need to check themselves.

Pointless.

Even if it took two or three days of reconfiguring proxies. It would be all too easy. Especially when big prizes are on the line. Kinda saps the spirit of friendly competition.

Thats another issue, if ya say something and sum other user doesn't agree ya get yer name flamed.

I see the need for aliases, not for voting but for postings.

If you haven't got the balls to say something under your own name then don't say it! Evil or Very Mad

Are you ppl saying that a lot of the newcomers are actually old or current members under a different name? For example the Martin Luther King entry?

If this is the case, I feel like a fool for voting and saying congrats on your first entry Evil or Very Mad

this has been suggested before but some kind of statistical chart showing some kind of voting relationship would at least be interesting.
