Love the site. I'm a new Photoshop user, less than 6 months. Bought several books and did a lot of reading to learn the basics. I've already posted a few things in the contest area, mainly for feadback. Not good enough to win
Anyway, look forward to having fun here!

welcome Ormond resident! Good to have you. There are tutorials all over the place so stop buying books...hahaha. Actually Splodge should be coming in as soon as he sobers up to give you a link to a ton of video tutorials that will help you out.
