Post your crackchops in this thread, share any tips or techniques you might have, ssshisto started the thread originally but for some reason it was deleted, so input from all/some would be cool, actually ssshisto I'm glad you asked about cracks, they can add a certain touch to your work, and it got me experimenting, so first, a quickie below, 2 sources added together to make a baby look like it has a skin disease

yeah what did happen? anyway tips please... Should I get picture or cracks and blend it or is there a better way?

Are you working with a specific subject, or you just need tips in general, do you have a picture you need help with? if so put it up, we have some crack specialist here at PSC

Cracks in general. Whether it be subtle hairline cracks or gaping cracks such as the ones you showed me. I am more interested in subtle ageing cracks but I still very much want to learn how to make larger cracks aswell...

Hmmm, the thing about cracks is that they can be made pretty easy, however, there is so much good source material out there

that its a lot easier to chop out and use something natural, dropping the opacity is the key, and then enhance with contrast and/or saturation, lighten or darken, I'll then go in with liquify after it's flattened to blend it a little more, I'm sure some others here have their technique, but this works pretty well for me, good luck and show some of your test work here
