I keep checking the obituaries to see if my name is there. If it's not, then I figure I'm ok.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up on your (or anyone's!) thread lately ReyRey... er, besides the word association and add one thing threads
Here's the link to a year ago today, with Stevster winning this one: http://photoshopcontest.com/photoshop-contest/1752/?l=&o=votes
There were so many creative manipulations in this contest; perhaps quality creativity making up for lack of quantity (only 39 entries).
I love a year ago yesterday's contest. Besides the fact that the source was one of mine, there were several absolutely brilliant chops made from it. DoaC's and jad3's clean-ups were amazing, and Meaty's image is one of my all-time favorites!
I know it's hard keeping this thread updated on a daily basis, ReyRey, especially when the entire site seems to have slowed to a crawl lately. Maybe it's because of the start of summer for the northern hemisphere, and all our keyboards and monitors have melted or our brains are on vacation or something. I seem to remember a similar slow-down in activity last summer. Just know that at least there's little old me checking this thread anytime there's an update. Even If I don't have any comments to contribute, or I don't consistently remember to help update when I haven't gotten an e-mail notification about an update, I enjoy remembering and rediscovering last year's contests. And I KNOW I'm not alone!
And yes, good people, several days here and there may have been skipped. Please feel free to jump in and help update this thread!

Oh, I missed this contest the first time around. Several good concepts here. I agree with kfroese winning with that chop; that's a great execution of a smart idea! The only thing I can think of that might have made it even better would be to have a person or some object of known size on the ground to give a better sense of scale.
It's always fun / funny when more than one person has the same clever idea. I can see why EJH's and buglover's entries were so close in votes, but I do have to say I prefer buglover's bunny perspective a bit more. The ants are a nice touch, too.

Loved that contest! Some really fun chops in there! I had a lot of fun making mine, and it was timely with the events that week too.
