Haaa! I see! Laughing
Anyway, it looked like having a little problem with sharp edges... in that case maybe it can be rougher. Wink

Well I am old and therefore OldSchool, but I like the smoother version better.

It is an okay image, but I don't think I'd write home to my mother about it. I don't know your age, Sssssssshisto, nor do I know your history (did you go to school for this stuff? are you a fine Arts major? do you reside in a mental home? are you a 14 year old kid just getting excited by graphics art?) so it is hard for me to decide from where I want to add my comments criticism of this work.

Maybe you just wanted to show it and didn't want input? (in which case NEVER post an image here in the threads! Wink )

Anyway - I hope we have all learned something here today: round and fuzzy is nice to some and rough and edgy is good for others, but having live eels in your hovercraft just plain SUCKS.

Ok some pointers

good first try

vectors and filters dont mix and you really shouldnt use them on your illustrations. Sometimes, simplicity is best (however, you can use rasterised images in your illustrations just keep them seperate)

Use really subtle gradients everywhere it'll make your work look a lot more professional (for the filtered version)

put in some more detail because i'm not sure we know what it is

Not trying to be rude or anything - but I shudder to think what the threads would look like if we all started posting all our bored doodlings! Shocked

(not that I'd EVER do something like that)

Thank you!! Somebody gets it...

I got it. I liked the comic book one (this one). I was really hoping you'd expand the scene. Do a panel layout with a whole story around the mechanical eye. Smile
