as for the learnt... the girl has a point... being a foreigner, I learnt it this way too (actually, I was told both forms are right)... though I use learned cause I've never seen an american using learnt (and was always "corrected" by them when I used it)... I guess they use it only in formal language...
To be fair, I really don't think one could ever accept a spelling correction from an American !

true..........then they'll start asking us, "where did you learn how to spoke".
