hahaha! I like this one, but I think you should make the thing he is diving into look more like waves or something; right now it looks like he's diving headlong into a target...

Working with the logo on deck, there are two things I'd look at right away...

A) I'd straighten up that oval and text - it looks cockeyed to me right now - there is really no reason for it to be tilted.



B) The word "Pride" has certain connotations. Maybe in the USofAche it is cool to use it. But up here our Gay Bretheren tend to use it for their own.

C) oh... right, I said TWO things.... never mind.

And I like this idea too. The one with the dude diving through it is a bit distracting from the actual initial, me thinks.

(I DO thinks from time to time, ya know!)

I would again suggest a basic change - that extended thang on the "R" isn't really required and makes the "LOGO-ability" of the design a bit lumpy. eg: it would pose some trouble on the front of a baseball cap style hat. I'd pull it back into a more compact design:



AND THE FACT THAT YOU DAMNED KIDS HAVE NOT PUT EVEN ONE IDEA FORWARD WITH A SCANTILY CLAD FEMALE IN IT ONLY PROVES THAT YOU WATCH TOO MUCH MTV AND IT'S SHRINKING YOUR FRONTAL CORTEX THINGYS!!!!!!!

First I have to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has so generously responded so far. This team literally has next to nothing so this help is gigantic for them. And more than the idea of putting this on shirts this type of thing could really give them a sense of unity and pride as a team. I'm truly touched by the responses. These are all ideas that have been shown I would have likely never thought of.

These are really cool looking. I can agree with Reinman on the need to flatten the ripples and text (BTW it's "Rapids Pride").

There's only real problem I saw is that swimmers don't dive in head first. They have their hands out in front of them when they hit the water.

Good point, Mr.Fu, on the diver's arm's thing. Your are right, they don't tend to enter the water that way - unless they are a very very BAD diver (or very very STOOPID ).
