A bit like a layered onion skin in reverse - We add layers to previous 'posts', that either obliterate partially or modify what is beneath.
Think many generations of Collage on the same piece of virgin Brick wall ( I've started it with a little help from one of Naiko's old winners overlapping it, to show what I mean- Apologies Naiko;-) I purposely left the edit frames in to demonstrate:-
