But this is different. This one is like the ZoomQuilt project(s).

Credited as inspired by the ZoomQuilt projects:

The Tin Man one is great as it includes sounds and other animations in the piece (besides the zooming).

Now the question for the painting/drawing artists in the group.

HOW THE HELL DO THEY DO THIS?

The PSCroll is easy to figure out. But how the heck do you create a 3D zooming loop canvas like this? Start huge and work your way back to where your section intersects with the previous/next?

I love these things but I'm at a loss for how these are done. Hmmm

instead of passing your pic to the next guy to tack on the edge of his/her pic, you pass the next guy your pic to incorperate in the center of his/her pic, instead of scanning left/right, you pan/zoom in/out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
(i think)
well i had to say something, i could feel you all looking at me Smile

I think I figured it out as far as the zoomquilts go. You have a HUGE version of your pic and then a tiny version of the next pic at the "zoom point". In the Flash you literally zoom in on pic 1 toward the zoom point. As you get closer to the "pixellation boundary" you display the tiny version of pic 2 and start zooming in on that image's huge version.

The thing that gets me about the Tin Man zoomquilt is that each section has it's own motions in it. The tornado spins and debris in the storm moves independent of the background enhancing the 3D sensation.

Mind-bending stuff this. :gordonkl:
