we were just talking about that at dinner tonight... about Sol fighting against the church, then had some blinding revelation and became a follower of Christianity and then had the largest army (his original desire), and changed his name to Paul, and how he wrote most of the New Testament, and that it is strongly comprised of patriarchal prose, promoting the subjugation and oppression of women, and that it is recognized by some scholars, that he had a "hate-on" for women.... and there is the thought that the person sitting closest to Jesus in the "Last Supper" painting is a woman, and the theory (call it conspiracy or not) that women have been re-written in the bible to be placed as maiden, mother or whore, and that these are the roles for women within the book.
Ahhh... dinner with my anarchist/feminist/activist friends...
