Well I have done far to many chops this year, and after thrawling through my portfolio for the last year I decided I could get it down to 10 entries for various reasons that I liked the most.
So here they be as '
they' say, let the countdown begin
10 ) Here we have the gadget mobile. This was super fun, and bought back all those 80's cartoon watching memories
9 ) Next we have a spot of divine intervention from my good friend lightning
8 ) In at 8 is one of those you feel is gonna kick ass but doesn't
This got pipped for a prize, but hey, it was fun
7 ) I like to push myself, not use guides (for psc work by the way, professional work demands them
) so this while it has errors, was pleasing to construct in 3d form, using basically the eye as my guide:
6 ) This one was so much dang fun I could of kept fiddling with it for ages, and the image was quite fun too
5 ) Here at 5 we have a piece I did literally against the clock. I was not going to enter this day, as it was only an hour and a half before comp open time. But I had an idea to make a shell of the buffalo. I worked faster than I ever had on a chop, and got it in 2 minutes after comp open time, the rest as '
they' (them again, who are they?) say is history:
4 ) I love to change day into night, this is my favourite from this year. Once I thought it was lazy, as you could hide things, and maybe some do. But I tend to work on them as I want them in full light, get everything looking right in daylight so I am happy, then convert everything slowly into night style. Why, because I am a fool most likely
3 ) This took a bit of time and editing to look how I wished, I wasn't totally satisfied with the end result, but the overall impact I was happy with. As many people know, another hobby of mine seems to be destroying source images
2 ) I rarely get pissed off, I vent from time to time like everyone, but I am mostly mellow. This piece however I was sure would do the job (again something I am usually never sure of
) I think I got annoyed because of the ammount of PS work and source work done and getting pipped for the win (ammount of work should never equal easy wins or good results, but in this case you had to be there I guess
) Anyways here is my No. 2 of 2007:
1 ) And here it be, my No. 1 as voted for by the readers of me magazine.... or not, as the case may be. This was a chore and a half, and a joy also. It also is my No. 1 for another reason. It was the 4th win in my 4 consecutive comps in a row record. But with that aside, I still think it is my favourite of the year:
Ok thats all from me, I need a drink
