So I want to create a basic action that picks the brush, sets the mode, opacity, size, & hardness. When I record a new action, sometimes it catches some of the settings, and sometimes not.

Anybody know the trick to having CS2 actually record what it is you're doing? or can you recommend any tutorials. I googled for a while but found nothing addressing the issue of the action recording not catching all the specific settings while choosing a basic brush.

Just save the brush as a tool preset.

I created the preset and then an action to select the preset and change the other options not control by the preset.
