I posted this thread because I want to know a bit about the participants without having to go through all the profiles. Something quick will be nice.... Are any of you in the graphic design industry or is it just a hobby? Are any of you guys moderators or creators for this site? How long have you been posting? How old are you guys?...etc.... Curious to know where these great idea's come from.

I keep checking the obituaries to see if my name is there. If it's not, then I figure I'm ok.

Hi!
My name is Sean.
My profile/portfolio
I've been one of the resident smart asses here at PSC since Sept of 06.
I was born the year of the OX
I like kittens, long walks on the beach and sunsets.
I've been using Photoshop since my Jr. year of High School so thats nearly 18 years
I only just recently have started to grasp its immense power to gain riches by destroying lives and blackmailing people.
I've been in the 'industry' working as a graphic designer since 1994. I like to make funny pictures and gifs. I am willing to share my lack of knowledge and sometimes I am a bit rash with my critiques. But I try to show what I'm talking about through example.
One thing everyone should learn how to use in photoshop.
The Pen tool. Thank you VVP (vunt van pumununt)
My best tip which I learned from a junior member here (footfungas) how to apply highlight and shade on a separate layer.
new layer filled with 50% grey and set Hard Light.
you can then dodge & burn highlights and shadows w/o compromising the original picture.
This place is crazy town, but I call it home. I have learned so much from these nice people. We ARE the best community on the web. Welcome to the club Magic Matt!

Hi I am Naïko,34 yo; I m a painter and Ive learnt a lot in digital manipulation since im in this site.
I ve been developping a personal style through this portofolio and worked on more classic ways to use Photoshop to manage to express some unknown fields of visuals . My stuffs generally go from surreal to abstract, thru concrete textured works, and time to time funny illustrative jobs.
Have fun in this communauty like i do.

I am going into the industry (eventually), when school hands me a piece of paper. I have been doing freelance work for a while now. However, my work was freehand majority of the time, it eventually progressed into digital designs.
I am not a mod or creator and I have been posting here since October of 2006.
I am 31 and unhappily will be turning 32 in March, ugh! Why, oh why, do we have to get old, gahhh As for you older members I don't want to hear any comments about my complaining about turning 32, thanks, your a peach
Half the time I have no idea where my ideas or creations come from, they just flow, like I have no control over what I am making. Does that make sense?
Anyway, welcome aboard!

Oh .......eh....... I am no fun at all, come to think of it.
Don't work (much), don't want to work (much) anymore soon, feel old at times and very young when I have to talk to real people.... (scared) .... and I mostly try to get better at photoshopping and art in general.
