Wish your daughter a speedy recovery, she will be in my prayers.

Well, a quick update...this morning she decided she had enough of the ventilator and yanked the tube out. She is having a little difficulty breathing, and now they have her on high pressure oxygen through her nose. It is helping her stay stable, but they are watching her closely. She is also hallucinating from all of the meds she has been on and is on. That is not a pleasant thing to see her going through!

Thanks to all of you for your wishes, prayers, thoughts, etc. I know the power of prayer and I know she will pull through this.

To whoever asked...she is 12 years old.

Our son had a severe kidney infection and had surgery to remove the kidney when around 8 or 9. I feel we know a little about what you're going through (but only a small bit I think).

Your daughter and family will most definitely continue to have my prayers.
