Does the photo walk have to have a theme? Or "winners" for that matter? I enjoy looking at whatever people feel like taking pictures of during the Photo Walk time.
My main suggestion, theme or not: Pick a weekend, a whole weekend, for people to take photos. That will give more flexibility for people's schedules and social lives (or just forgetfulness) to let more people participate in the Photo Walk at their own pace.
