I just picked up cs3 today and was wondering if anyone could give me the run down on any cool options I may not discover right away? I've been using PS6 this whole time so I can only assume there's a few things I might be missing out on. Thanks for reading. (' ')

Seriously, dude - no jokin' around: CS3 is to PS6 as a 2008 Honda Civic is to a snow mobile. The differences would take hours to explain properly...
Go to your local library and get some books. If you, like many Americans, hate reading then go check out the tutorials that are ALL OVER THE WEB. Google "photoshop tutorials" and you'll get LOT's to pick from.
But you just GOTTA try that Clone Stamp tool - it REALLY DOES ROCK THE HOUSE!!!!!!

Yes I agree, thats why I posted this... I figured I could skip some of the boring stuff (being an American) cause thats how I roll, and I could get advise from graphic artists and not so much photographers... A lot of the "whats new in cs3" articles are written by people who just retouch photos.
I will take a look at the online tut's as well though, thanks ReinMan

I too migrated directly from Ps6 to Ps CS3 extended about a year and a half ago, or whenever CS3 first came out. Biggest thrill for me was discovering the warp tool option inside of a selection. That was a pure jet fuel experience. Forget the clone tool, you had that back in Ps6. Instead, make any selection, right click on it, choose warp, and then strap yourself in for a little Ps thrill.

I really like the "Quick Selection" tool and have been playing with the Vanishing point tool. The warp tool is cool and smart filters (move filters around on a layer like move up and down) really expand capibility.

I have to admit, I have a secret copy of CS3 that I've been nervous to upgrade to from PS7. I was worried that it would be too different and I didn't feel like learning all over again.
I may have to finally take that leap and go for it! I am tired of the snowmobile, I want a Civic!

You should upgrade I've only had for a day or 2 but I notice it's a lot like any previous version of PS just with more options
Thank you all for the suggestions I'm having fun exploring
