Over the course of the last week or so, I managed to go through the entire queue of images that have been submitted over the past months. I had been holding off approvals for awhile to let some of the older stuff have a chance to get filtered through.

As of now the cache is cleared and all images have either been denied (~10% or less) or approved and added in to the pool of images that can potentially come up for "Pick The Next PSC Source Image" voting.

Of the roughly 10% that were denied (if that much) the main reasons were: Blurry/pixelated images (~45%), overused themes/similar images/cliche subject matter (~45%), other image flaws, such as being too washed out, dark, reflections in windows blocking the subject etc... (~10%)

So I guess you should see a mass of new images in the voting pool in upcoming weeks.

Yeah me too. To clarify, I actually don't see who is submitting these. I wish I could see who and also be able to send you quick messages about both approved (why it was good) and not approved ones (why it was not). Hopefully we'll be able to work on this tool/process in the future.

I have bitched and complained about having the same ol' sources and even the ones we did have were well.. UNINSPIRING to say the least.
