Been noticing this a lot in the past few weeks.

(And this is not meant to call out anyone in particular but just to make a suggestion.)

And now...Your Public Service Announcement:

If you're going to take the time to find an external image for your chop, please take the time to find a decent resolution external image. All too often I have been seeing chops with horribly pixelated externals...and this ain't just for the newcomers...I've seen some of the old-timers do this as well.

Discuss.

I agree, that's why I try to stay all source or take my own externals if at all possible. When I do use an external I only search with the extra large option on. Dont find what I want then try some thing else.

Exactly.

And there are plenty of high res images out there for the...um...taking. Wink

when using externals, I search for quite long periods sometimes for the right source, at a usable resolution, across many sites. I hate nothing more than to see a large portion of an image in low res, and then the other part crisp and sharp, ruins the visual entirely.

I agree with the lurker dude. If I can't find a decent source image or at least one that I can FIX, I don't even post.
