Oh, that's so very, very wrong.
I am sure, in my heart, that ReinMan would NEVER consider two-on-one . . . . .

I have to admit... it was photoshopped.

It doesn't matter.
I've saved it for use at a later time.

(Also, as pertaining to SNOW, let it be known that at 1°C snow does NOT melt that frickin fast. It's like watching paint dry, except COLDER... Just thought you should know that. )

OKAY
I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN YOU!
---------------------------------------
Howdy folks! Here it is, a week later, New Ear's Eve! I just thought I'd update you as to the "situation" here in the Vancouver Area ....
Had a chance to go DOWNTOWN today - strangely enough the main streets are pretty clear...
But the side streets are still a MESS!
(note the birds have returned! Also note mountains in background - that is where my house is. More on that LATER! )
Many cars are STILL buried in snow, and after a week of rain with cold temperatures that snow is like concrete.
You may note the plastic buckets in the one picture above?
People spend so much "effort" digging out their cars and their parking spaces they put up plastic buckets so that other "random crazed parking individuals" don't TAKE OVER THEIR HARD-EARNED parking space.
In GENERAL, the City of Vancouver has done a pretty crappy job of digging the downtown folks out from last week's storm.
But this is why I don't LIVE in Vancouver... no no... I live in ...

NORTH Vancouver!!!
This was so beautiful today - reminds me of why i put up with 7 months a year of wet dark weather! CLICK HERE for the BIG VERSION of the ABOVE if you'd like to see it better!
(Yes, almost all these pictures I've been shooting with my DSLR as I drive through the streets! Yee Haw! No pedestrians were harmed in the making of this movie!)
This is the bridge leading from Vancouver to North Vancouver...
Coming over it you get an AMAZING view of Grouse Mountain (you can see the ski hills up at the top of it) and Mount Seymour and Cyprus Mountain...
As usual, with panoramas, you gotta look at them BIG. CLICK HERE for the Big KAHUNA!
(again, please keep in mind I was driving the car AND attempting to take 4 stitchable shots all in a very short period of time - the raw pano is a bit JERKY. You'll see if you click that link above )

Now, I know what you are all (all 3 of you! ) thinking: wtf is ReinMan doing sitting at home doing this silly little blog on "NEW YEAR'S EVE?"
Don't worry. I'm okay. Got SNACKS still left over from last night's wee gathering.
Oh - And I'm really just killing time here while Helen gets ready to head out for
a WILD NIGHT OF PARTYING WITH THE REINMAN!
(which will mostly consist of hanging out with a few good friends and drinking WAY TOO LITTLE. )
Okay - I'm signing off. My last ENTRY here at PSC for 2008.
Seriously, you folks help keep me SANE. I love you all for that. Even YOU, Arcaico!
HUGS, BEST WISHES (well, except for Blurker and ReyRey - they get BREAST WISHES, of course ) TO ALL!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! (except for MATT, I wish him a HAPPY NEW BEER, of course! )

Thanks Db!
And now: SURPRISE OF THE NEW YEAR (my first post at PSC for 2009!):
SNOW.
Whoda Thunk it?
Down it comes! Started at about 2 hours before midnight and it is coming down pretty thick now at 1am, January 1st, 2009.
I doubt it will be anything like last Christmas Eve's dump, but here we are entering the New Year with a (for us) freak snow storm. Year of the freaks.
(and by saying FREAKS I mean the very BEST of that term. )
HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!

Incredible weather Reinman!! Up until yesterday I couldn't really feel your pain but then it came over the wire. WINTER WEATHER TO HIT GEORGIA!! We began to panic so I got my daughter and we headed out before the storm to get the winter vehicle ready for the storm in case we needed to go out and get bread and milk which are the two things that run out at the store when any kind of strange weather threatens our area.
and then it hit....the temperature began dropping and we knew we were doomed....
we huddled close to try and stay warm in our winter shorts (insulated pockets)
I had to do something so my family wouldn't be trapped in the crazy weather so I got out my Georgia snowblower......
and got to work.
although I was braving the storm it got bad at times...
but I knew I had to blaze a trail to get my family out safe...
With the weather finally passing I was able to get some hydration from some windshield washer fluid I found in the garage...
I needed to find some place out of this horrid weather. Luckily I was able to find some summer furniture that was left out and took cover...
Then, finally.....the storm passed and I was able to have a little fun from the debris that was left behind.
once the storm was gone the towns people came out in joy and rejoiced
and the town was safe once again....
