All four of my wisdom teeth were impacted. And I had a REALLY bad experience with a "regular filling gone awry." I'll spare you the details since you have enough to read. Laughing I will say that the sooner you have a toothache taken care of, the better off you'll be. albino

Hug Good luck!

Well, you had the stories on pain above, now here is one about blood and gore... Twisted Evil

My dentist refered me to a HOSPITAL, to have my wisdom teeth pulled. It was a University Teaching Hospital, so you can sort of imagine what started to unfold.

6 guys grouped around me, to take turns looking in my mouth. Then they led me into a rocket shaped cage, put my head on a ledge and told me to say still. Not long later they produced a wonderful photo of my smile earring to earring and all my teeth neatly positioned side by side about two feet wide (... well a little less). The six would be dentists came back and observed that my poor wisdom teeth had found a way under my other molers, and they needed to be extracted. They could start with one of them right away Shocked

I should have started this sad tale by telling you that I had to travel to the Hospital by train.......

The whole operation was kind of hillarious, due to the humour of those likely lads, but somewhere in their jolly, they forgot one thing. Tying the right knot on the stitchings they used to close the hole my poor tooth left in my mouth.

On the way back home, in the train, I almost choked on the blood that suddenly gushed out of the wound.

A nice trainconducter made sure there was a taxi waiting for me at the station, that took me to a hospital, where the surgeon restiched my mouth - his name was dr. FOOT (true, his partner was called dr. OWL!!!) - and he told me to come back to him, no matter what the demon dentest said, and never to go back to the Teaching Hospital again.

The other wisdom teeth were pulled in a real hospital, by proper specialists, while I was fast asleep..... so, I can't say how much fun those docters had helping me.

To make a long story short, NEVER go to a Teaching Hospital. Unless you can be sure the person doing the stiching is also a keen fisherman/woman, who makes their own flies. At least then they know how to ty a good knot.

Don't wait too long to get help, the pain is not worth it. Hugs.
