That's a very nice age. Nevertheless, that doesn't make it easier. I'm sorry about your loss and wish you and your family a lot of strenght.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Christy.
My mom taught me piano starting from about age 6 til I was about 12, then Dad taught me the flute, which I played thru college. My sympathies to you and your family - remember the good times.

My sympathies Christy. All the best for you + family.
I agree with abraham... with a sweet & funny person like you, I know your mum was great & had a lot of good times.

thank you all. what lovely thoughts from all of you... I expected no less.
and I'm sorry Splodge for your recent loss. For any of you who have lost a parent, whether recently or awhile ago, whether you are prepared or not... you're really not prepared to really say goodbye.
Laughing helps. I had to call my brother and tell him. Thru our crying and talking about her, he said she would have our dad and sister and her parents waiting for her, and I added "and Buster" - our cat of 21 years. And he added the dog Pepper we had many years ago too. And when I told her goodbye Sat. night, I told her to watch for my bunny & cat I just lost. She's going to be busy.
We'll remember all the laughs and wonderful times we had with her and remember all the difficulties she had in her very long life including the real depression, the dustbowl days, world war II, gees, she lived in a time when houses didn't have computers or tvs or frost free refrigerators or dishwashers --
I'm (and you) are so grateful that she gave me all these silly genes.
thank you my friends.
