Helen is following along at home. She couldn't get the time off. I couldn't afford NOT to take the time off.
Okay - some California Trees! (movie coming soon!)
Okay, back on the road!

So today's journey was mostly the #101 along the far West Coast of California...
Cafe in Rio Dell, California, where I had an EXCELLENT cheeseburger and potato salad for lunch!
Okay - A movie about Big Trees, Specific Oceans, and Wine.
And, before I crash here (bed crash, not CAR crash ) here are some final shots of the day... Rein By The Sea

Be careful if you travel up through Oregon on 101. The weather is wet, which takes away from the gorgeous ocean views, but also brings threats of downed trees, mudslides, and even parts of the highway falling into the ocean. I trip checked 101 for Oregon, and I don't see any reported threats. If you miss the Vegas Casinos, you'll drive by at least 3, Native American Casinos, on/near 101 through Oregon. Looks like Monday would be the best day of the week for weather and photos. Enjoy!
(Speed limit is 55MPH through 101 Oregon, I got a ticket last year going 77 between Brookings and Gold Beach. You'll also lose view of the Pacific Ocean when you pass Port Orford. If you are eager to get home, you might have to put up with crossing over to I-5, where most the time you can go 65MPH.)

Thanks Glenn! Valuable info. I am waiting to see what the weather is like. Casinos? I can give them a pass, no problemo! ... We've got them back home, and the only type we have is Native American ones. So it will be about the weather, if I stay on 101 or cut over to Speedy but Boring ol' I-5.
As of 3am, it don't look that bad, eh?
Right now I've got a more pressing issue with some Hotel Heater Noise insomnia! Maybe I'll work on that VEGAS STRIP movie !

I think a gpsgate and google earth combo would be good for the next trip. That's so we can see where you are at, anytime of the day, and see where you have been before that. This system tracks your cellphone signal.
It's kinda disturbing that you can be tracked this way. I've listed the legal way to do it.
