I've seen one of the five come in for source vote. It was an amazing photograph of a friend on a fishing trip 2 years ago viewed through the fishing rods. He died over a year ago. Crying or Very sad

And they've been in the queue forEVER...while the same repeated sources and the same OLD sources come up for voting. Haven't we bitched about this before?

Agreed, Joey...we need SOMEthing new to look at.

Out of curiousity, what would happen if one day we DIDN'T vote for the next source image? Would the same images be up the next day for voting?

You guys don't have enough donated images or something?
There's a whole month there, and not one item with pattern,
or even a distinct color scheme unless you count the duckys, and ughh what colors.

. . . . wait a minute . . . . DUCKIES?!?!

There are DUCKIES in the que for next month? Very Happy

They are ugly little bastards, not the cute kind of ducky.

Mine says 6 of your submitted images are currently in the voting queue. They have been there for so long and never even been up for voting. Today's choice is totally hopeless! I could not for the life of me choose between them! I would love to see some change too. Sad

i thought they ran out of photos because some very old crappy ones have been showing up lately.....

i think if a photo was not chosen, it should be removed from the queue... you keep saying there are lots of pics but we keep seeing the same ones.....

didn't we talk about this before?

anyways, i'd love to see some good sources that makes you want to chop and makes interesting contests (and by that i mean no statues and sculptures)

Just have to photo banks.
One that is used to select the source images for contests BANK1
and the other
With those that do not get chosen. BANK2
When we go thru BANK1
We move over to BANK2
I dont see the need to discard Images.
But what would solve all the problems is
7 day advantage with no choice, what you get is what you get. Since we started this choice thing we are getting repeated types of source images all the time for example giraffes, flowers and stuff. I miss the celebrity days they were fun and people enjoyed the aging and morphing entries well I did any ways.

I stopped submitting images a long time ago, since only one or two was ever used, even though most would have been awesome sources. It just takes a lot of time to prep images that end up not being used.

I made a nice action that would take batches of images and scale them to the correct size for submission, but I don't have it any more. It really sped up getting potential source images ready. I dunno if anyone else who submits sources has done this, but if you haven't, and you have a lot of images you'd like to submit, I recommend it.
IrfanView's batch processing works wonders for processing multiple files. Much easier to do than an Action. Just my $0.02US (not adjusted for inflation or the state of the economy).

If I or someone starts a thread in which we put in pics to get a response as to weather they are worthy for contest entries or not, so at least when they get up for a vote, we know they're good shots, or is that overkill on the whole process, I was thinking about it before and was wondering if it would help.
