Hello, I'm new here & pretty new to photo shop. I have been teaching myself on paint shop for a while but want to upgrade & learn photo shop. I can NEVER find ant tuts for paint shop. Anyway, can someone point me to where I can get a free trial for photo shop? I googled it but there are so many version. Question I want to learn how to manipulate photos, fun stuff, like in the contest section. THANKS!

should I try PSC 3 or PSC 4 is there much difference?

Just light some candles and dance around your computer whilst doing a bit of demonic chanting! That's always worked for me.

If you're new to photoshop then the differences won't really matter imho.

Compare it to driving a Mini or a F1-car. If you don't know how to drive, you'll wreck them both.

If you can get your hands on a copy of PS7 that should do you. That was before they put tonnes of shit in it that just confuses noobs!

go to ebay and buy an old LEGAL copy of photoshop7, don't go any further back, failing that buy adobe elements 3 or 4, or a new camera/printer with elements bundled, if you are as rich as the other graphic designer on this site, go out and buy cs4 adobe masters collection, £2.400.
in fact forget about cs4, save a few £'s and buy cs3, cs4 just complicated stuff!

IF you are a college student you should be able to get a great deal on Photoshop through your school.

I was able to get a copy of ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4 DESIGN PREMIUM

http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/design/

for $399.00 (normally $1,799.00) from my school and I didn't even have to pay for it. My software is covered by federal grants.

I already had CS4 master collection so the design premium is still in the plastic.

I will let it go if anyone has anything of equal value
or can get me some sweet job willing to relocate to almost anywhere.
