As for imperfect image sources, Maybe they don't have to be gigantic to be considered. Daily sources were 'hotlinked' from the web at one time from all source sizes. Hi res poster size sources are kinda tuff to come by sometimes.

That and bring back real chat for everyone.

News Update:
Chooper Granulated upset over being, as he said, misquoted.

I didn't say I wanted easy sources. I was just giving you my educated guess as to the cause of the recent slump in entrants.
It seems to me that too many people are submitting boring and often badly composed photo's just for the hell of it. Some look like they been taken with camera phones with shockingly bad exposures. Another problem is that the aforementioned photos are miraculously winning the source votes, often beating out really good shots and then it laughably garners a paltry 5 pre-posts. So what's the deal here? Are people getting friends to boost voting for their submitted images, regardless of the 'quality' ? It's a conpsiracy I tells ya !

Now go away I'm creosoting the fence !

p.s.

...and because of the fall of the Mayan civilisation. I read it in the tea-leaves !

But did you not say?

Notice as soon as we get a good fun (easy to chop?) source (the giraffe head) we get a slew of very good entries and a good overall turnout.

As for conspiracies, We will investigate before we comment.

The Mayans have NOTHING to do with it!!! You see... even after the fall of the mayan, the herbs they used REMAINED there for future use. In the case of the romans, they didn't keep the tradition of throwing people to the lions to inspire people. Can you imagine the numbers of entries we'd have a day if the news broadcasted Mr. George Doubleyou Bush being thrown at the lions????
