This is actually a collective flashback of all the drugs taken by all the people in the sixties which apparently has somehow gotten into the world's water system.

However it doesn't seem to have this effect on TJ's first post.

No, it's not that kind of trick; if you stare at the dot and do not move your eyes at all, you can look at the "color" image for as long as you like. However, as soon as you move your eyes, it's gone.
