I just received my Halloween contest prize!!!
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y297/YerPalAl/01-Calendar-Cover-2010-72.jpg
A Beautifrul calender created by Yer Pal Al himself! It's beautiful. Full of mystical worlds of wizard, dragons, faeries, giants and best of all... Hot chicks! You are my hero YPA.
Our members here should help support each other. I think people would like this calender and help support our fellow wizard. YPA.
Al, could you tell people how to get their own calender and become proud members of the YPA fan club?!
Just remember...I was first.
And mine is signed
You rule!!! Thanks for the prize!
Never mind. I found the link.

Pearlie, girl... you gotta get your TRAVELLIN SHOES on if you wanna get your PRIZE.
And I, being a LONG STANDING MEMBER (no jokes please!) of the YPA, must say that it is a VERY fine club indeed. (again, no "club" jokes, please. )
He is a GREAT guy, does GREAT work, and looks good in a blue and gold evening gown.

OK PSC. Here's an idea to make a few $$$. From July '09 through June '10, collect images of the month from dailies, H2H's, Reunion's, selected by a panel at PSC. Come to some kind of agreement with each artist, either prize money, or a commission plan for the rights to sell a 2011 Calendar containing PSC artists images. I'd love to buy a PSC calendar, and I'm sure others would too.
The reason I say use a panel to select the images is because you'd need a few experts to look at a piece of artwork and determine if it is free of other copyright material, and meets required specs before publishing. The artist would have to fill out a simple questionnaire before being qualified for consideration.

The calender would have to be small.
( low res images won't look good printed out too big)

Hi, first of all, thanks for this thread, warms my heart it does.
And on the PSC calendar, I believe it has been suggested many times in the past and Rey's response is entirely correct. Monitor resolution is far different from print resolution and much of the work done here, while looking good on the screen, would not look particularly good printed. In my case, my files are done 16"x20" @ 300 ppi and reproduce beautifully in that size in giclee prints and so look fine on the calendar. Also, I make sure to do 90% of the photograph myself and buy the rest from online photo banks which clears the dreaded copyright issues.
