for the past couple of days i have been having a real mental block with the images and what to do with them, i thought this would pass when my advantage hit and i had more time.....
i have a couple of ideas for some images coming up (no spoilers) but no matter what i do i cannot seem to make it work or the idea just does no translate well
anyone else been through this and how did you get over it..?
thanks all

Only geniuses come up with good ideas. Sorry for the bad news. If it makes you feel better, I only come up with a good idea once every 15 chops. But even those ideas are not ground breaking or worth remembering.

thanks for the reply but not after a winning idea, although it would be nice, any idea would be fine, i sit here look at the picture and take the following steps
rotate it 90 degrees until its back he right way
then rotate it 90 degrees the other way until its right
zoom in to just one quarter
zoom in on the centre
zoom in on the main feature (if there is one i can see)
colour it
desaturize it
and still no idea comes about what to do with it..
nm will get back into the swing of things

The real trick is to spin the entire image to odd angles one I use often is 114 degrees then click into distort adjust point A by 37 1/2 deg. then switch to point D and adjust it to 197.75 deg. Point B adjust somewhere between 55 and 90 deg. Point C is the tricky one now it shouldn't go over 36 degrees or it ruins everything else you've done.
Once done the idea should be screaming at you.
Please pay the cashier as you exit.

I run into this problem a lot and the best solution for me is to type in random words into a Google image search (baby, cat, plane, etc.). I save two or three pictures that catch my eye and then open them up in photoshop. I only allow myself an hour to make a rough picture from these sources. The challenge of trying to fit all of these random images into one picture usually sparks an idea for me. Good luck

Dont reinvent the wheel...look around others portfolios and see what has been winning in the past and present. I find good ideas come when I just relax and open my mind to what others have seen. Then make it my own.

Try to make first thing which comes to your mind when you look at the calendar. Even if it seems the dumbest idea ever or impossible to make That's how I got all my wins so far Not too many of them but always...
