I know it is summer time and everything, but what has happened to the participation on this site

I will be the first to admit that I have not entered as often as I had in the past, but I try at least to make an appearance once or twice a month.

Chat is a graveyard, and the old timers rarely make an entrance.

I am very happy and glad that the newbies are keeping this place alive.

I have a suggestion to revitalize the site. Advertise! We need to place ads in PhotoshopUser Magazine, and do some internet marketing. Email blasts with incentives, etc.

Your thoughts?

It really is summertime, I guess, and yes, there are not that many people around every day. But, I think we should stop calling it dead. That does not sound positive.

Now go and chop and call people back from facebook, they are all hiding out there.

Advertising would be a good idea. A site redesign would also be pretty cool, I liked the site before it was white, a white page with 1 image on it, and a few little ones on the side doesn't really call much attention. Also the Mods here are voluntary right? If we kept them and added new paid ones, that just did the site fixes, site adjustments, not even the news, PSC would start rising up again.
Just sayin'

I've just come back from a bit of a break, and i too thought the entries have been a little thin lately.

I keep praising our site when i'm on Facebook or Flickr, hoping it will attract new blood
Hopefully its just a summer thing and things will pick up a little

I believe advertising will help. There are many talented people out there that use Photoshop, but not many sites offering contests.

Lets start a contest for the best PSC recrutiment ad.
