this is the storm we got on the 1st & 2nd of Feb.
It dumped anywhere between 20 and 28 inches of snow on the Chicagoland area.
I was lucky enough to get about 22 inches of the white stuff at my place.
We also had Jim Cantore in town for the Blizzard. You know you're in for it when he shows up. He got to witness something called Thundersnow.
If you live in the Midwest, its something you get to witness about once a year.

my driveway had 3foot drifts, my neighbor next door had nearly 7foot drifts.
Theres supposed to be a 2way street in between my drive and the neighbors here.

all in all about 6 hrs of shoveling, and then they wanted us all back to work the next day!
I was amazed how quickly Chicago recovered from 2 feet of snow.
I laugh when I see cities crippled if they get a few inches.
