This is my 2nd movie made in adobe after effects this time using the Droste effect, although I put it together in photoshop cs5 first.

so if you have enough time to view my little movie and let me know what you think (as I'm still learning) it would be greatly appreciated

Can't do that on PS 7 and Image Ready. I feel like I'm working with stone age tools.
Very cool.

Okay, that was mind-boggling great!
But I'm still not gonna buy Photoshop or CSx or whatever.
I'll just plod along with my frame-by-frame animations in PS Elements.
After all: I did win a contest with my pre-historic tools!

Lovely work - on a lovely lady bird....

but, there is one thing I can't get out of my mind.

The Droste Cocao company in my country used to have (actually still is) carry a tin, that showed that is now known as the Cocao Tin Effect or the Droste Effect - which was: A nurse holding a tray with a cup of cocao, and next to the cup was a tin, with a picture of a nurse holding a tray with a cup and next to the cup was a tin with a picture of a nurse....

this is now known as FRACTALS in science, since mathematics discovered that such things are not always totally random in numbers.

So, if you had done the movie in real Droste effect (as fractal), you would have done the ring of lady birds, with a ring of dots on them, and zooming in on the dots you would have seen a ring of lady birds, with a ring of dots on them, zooming in would give you a ring of lady birds....

That would be the true Droste Effect as it is known where I live.

But, having sayd that... your work in that filter looks very neat too.

Yep, understand that, this was just more about using filter but hopefully when I get more skilful in AE I'll be able to do that Smile

Cool Mel - it would be great to see that effect used in modern stuff too.

That was trippy. Really liked it at the about the 3 minute mark where the path become an endless path.
