Years ago when JMH still owned PSC, there was an effort to get a team-type contest going - PSC vs. Worth. JMH had a back-and-forth email chain going with whoever was running Worth but they couldn't agree on the ground rules and nothing ever came of it.
There were a few things I liked about Worth - especially having multiple contests and categories - but as Anfa demonstrated, you never knew if something was original content or, as in his case, just blatantly ripped off. They also had a crazy EULA that essentially gave them ownership of anything posted on that site. They used some of the best submitted work to publish a book - I have no idea if the individual artists were ever compensated. I also didn't care for the "token" payment model, It was like some kind of internet ponzi scheme. So I'm not surprised to see them go, nor do I really mind.
