Well, I finally broke into book cover design. The author lives in Oriental and I was recommended to her by her editor. I as fortunate in that she was attractive enough and had a perfect dog so she could be my model for the photo shoot and liked my design from the start so it all went very smoothly. The book should be released in February both in print and online.

Nice.
Honestly, I would have put the title on the front cover longer down (on the sea) so the woods and the sailboats in the background would have been shown and used another font. And maybe not the frame round the title.
Thats just my meaning.
For the first time its nice done YerPalAl.
Nice photo you have taken.

ShootHerman, I put the title high so it would be readable if you see the book stacked on a shelf with other books covering half the front. Also, the title refers to a waterway so I thought showing the water was more important than the far shore which did not figure in the name or the story. The border is there because the ghosted black, needed because otherwise some of the type got lost against the sky, looked incomplete without it. The font is totally subjective and we simply have different tastes.
Blurker, its got WATER!!!!
Thank for your support, everyone.
