it's the first round. and most of the choppers are new.
Its the same every year. Why does this surprise people still?

round two is ALWAYS better.
first rounders always step up their game.
the second round also has all the choppers who had bye's the first round...

To keep the competition going for at least two more rounds, I think all the people who entered in round one should be allowed to participate in round two.

Despicable ? What a word to use in this context ! Disappointing perhaps, but despicable? That is a word that should be used only in times of extreme contempt or loathing.

This makes Panda sad because you are a great artist and you are inviting negative energy into your life. Might I offer constructive criticism? Don't be so emotionally invested in affairs you can't control. Focus on your own work, your own contributions - be a source of inspiration. We maim ourselves with our negative emotions; I've learned this lesson first-hand.
I don't mind if people critique my images with honesty, but be aware that as I get older and feebler I may not remember your pearls of wisdom. And this really is just about fun and self-challenge for me.
In an aside... given the number of professional graphic designers/artists here why don't folk don't simply request that certain contests be limited to top-tier competitors only. Didn't (the now defunct) Worth1000 do something like that?
Sorry about all the words - succinct dropped out of my brain in 2003. Good luck everyone.
