That's exactly what IS wrong with the internet. Someone called me a "foreiner" (his spelling not mine) the other day, intentionally trying to insult me...if it had been real life..well..the fists would have been flying. Don't say anything to me you would not say in real life.
But Lobo, what if it had been a pretty girl saying it, and winking as she said it; or what if it had been a buddy who likes to give you crap just for the hell of it? It's all about context. Part of being a community is understanding the underlying intent of people's posts. I think this place is pretty smart, and pretty scrappy. I'd like to think I can sling some lighthearted barbs around without getting my lights punched out. Obviously, though, I'm still getting the lay of the land.

Hey Siem, it's fine if all the old "M-P's" can't deal with change and move on, but they aren't being replaced by eager young newbies like yourself... why is that? Something is puting EVERYBODY off.
I wonder if there's been a downturn in chat too?
I think it was JMH who said this site was more about community than competing, but since the site update - the reverse is true.

How about a current events thread? Somplace where we could talk about Iraq, Lacy Peterson, Mike Moore, George Bush, the Catholic Church, AIDS, gay marriage, guns, etc. That's what people talk about in real life...
Another cool thread would be of pics members have chopped, that are not going to be used in a current or future contest. Just something like, "here's something I did just for the hell of it" type thread.
