I won a contest a few weeks ago.
I fretted over that pic a bit.
I kept checking it in advantage and looking for any flaws
I could find.
I had 49 views on it before the contest even opened.

I posted this thread as a new topic because I wasn't really legislating for anonymous or non-anonymous posting, Just hoping to create a little discussion around the view/'votes ratio. I guess it has done that and more...

Robo..
It would be interesting to compare the views/votes ratio for the pictures you have cited.
For the leading entry, subract a reasonable number of votes to account for author editing/viewing, guest viewing and return viewing by other PSC''ers. Then calculate the percentage of votes received a by view/vote ratio. If one of the lower rated pics actually received more votes percentage wise, then a legitimate question, in my view, comes into play. Did the fact that the lower rated entry had less views contribute to the other fact- that it also received less votes?

Thanks Splodge, I didn't know that the views continued to be counted after the contest was over. That means that the only accurate way to tally the vote/view ratio is immediately after the contest has ended. Although the stats I took for yesterdays contest reflected an imbalanced view/voter ratio for individual posts that probably will not change significantly before the contest ends.

Roba: i myself usually cast between 15 and 24 votes. I can imagine though that there are people who only cast 1 vote per contest, namely for the best chop (in their opinion). Just a theory which i didn't check.
any single-voters out there?

Strange Patre that you tried and that it worked. I try both refreshing or going back and forward and it doesn't change the count.

THE COUNTER HAS A DELAY ON IT, check someones standing, go vote for them, then check again, your vote wont register strieght away, the counter works the same.
I CANT BELIEVE I'VE BEEN DRAWN INTO THIS SILLY FORUM

The counter is totally useless then! All this time I thought about 10% of people that viewed my post left a vote for me, that means it is really 80% because I keep going back to my post every minute...
