If this contest wasn't closed to new entries, I would have guessed that he was powering an organ grinder with his left ear whilst simultaneously using his stiff beard hair as a phonograph needle on a warped 33 1/3 record.
Ignore the words "organ" and "stiff" (not necessarily in that order) in the original text of this message. You also might want to ignore the word "entries" while your at it, just to be safe.
