I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

When i type something in the comment section on entries and news pages, and then try to insert a word into the middle of my comment prior to submitting, my cursor keeps jumping to the end of the line after every letter I type.

I figured it was a side effect from the new counter, but I don't know.

Anyone else having this problem?

Interesting. It does this to me in Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox.

ie doesnt seem to play nice with the javascript, use firefox

...or Safari, if you are on a Mac.

I added an ie execption to the javascript. test it out and see if it works. It should allow you to insert text into the previously entered chunk as long as you have enough chars remaining.
