All this talk of the votes and stats has really made me feel bad. What marco and I thought were simple ideas seems to be really polarizing the community here.

Ultimately those topics are, rightfully, up to jmh to decide on. However the poll is something for the community to decide on...

Trust me - you two haven't been around here long enough (Well ok, tofu, you have, but you've not been active in the forums for the last year or so) to see that any fuss caused by your two threads is nothing compared to the bitchin' and whinin' that was going on before that over voting methods, scoring, aliases, etc, etc!

This forum is like a little ol' ladies tea-party these days, in comparison...

didn't think twice about it, just a good healthy discussion. All subjects should be debated to weigh pros and cons shouldn's they??

why should anyone feel bad for posting and then discussing their opinoin?

I don't feel bad lol thought the discussion was healthy, and as HT says, I believe much larger sparks used to fly around these parts between members

Here i was thinking how awesome it was to have a lively thread for once.
If people can do it without any flaming going on, I think it's GREAT!!!
HT aint kidding, we used to have threads that got so heated you
were almost guaranteed to have emotional reactions to it,cry,laugh till you cry,
experience total dumbfoundedness,
as long as you keep from flaming anyone, this is just great stuff.

this thread is the craziest thing Ive seen in months. If you have an idea, if you have a thought, if you just want to point something out, DO IT!! thats what this place is for. If there cant be a bit of friendly jabs now and then and some good discussion, this place will get even more boring.
