Merely contact the good folks at Adobe and, after giving them your product code (which you'll find on the box that you purchased from the software dealer) they will be glad to help you out!

Very Happy

sounds like you don't have the product key to activate it, and w/out it... from what i understand it will cease to run...at least on windows anyway.

the mac version does not require activation.

Trash your user fonts. They are in your user folder/Library/Fonts on your hard drive. That should fix it. When you start up PS, watch the screen. It will probably get to the point where it says reading fonts and then crash. If so, then this is your problem. Do not trash the main fonts in the main library!!! (very bad) Ask someone to do it for you if you are not sure.
Good Luck. :0)

I had that problem on my computer and contacted the good people at adobe, actually a chat type of room for problems, and they told me that photoshop is one program that taxes your computer like no other. If all other venues fail you then they suggested that you install more memory into your computer. This does fix the prob. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and had the same prob. I installed more ram and the prob went away.
Just a suggestion.

In another thread you stated that you had a new computer with 2 gigs of ram. This is more than enough. I think you haven't registered the program and the thing just won't start with out the activation code. If this is not the reason try installing without the Adobe Bridge.

i got PSCS from ebay, +illustrator10, +serial # and all the extras, £35, all worked well untill i unpluged my mouse to plug in a grapgix tablet and puff, there it was gone, never worked again. i dont think it was an ebay thing, i got dreamweaverMX 2004, flashMX pro, freehand, coldfusion, fireworks and director for £45 and that all still works well.
P.S. illustrator10 still works
