Am I the only one noticing how people waste their allowed 75k file size? Do I have to create a tutorial on the "Save for web" feature of Photoshop?

I ususally pm those to let them know how to submit them. Then they post them on a forum to make me look bad so I probably won't do THAT anymore! Smile

It's weird when you go to a different country and don't know the language. You don't even know what you don't know. It took me two weeks to figure out how to consistantly post a picture. It kept saying it was the wrong size...too big. Then it was too small. Now I think I got it, but when I didn't know how... I thought it would be easy if they posted the exact way to make the picture the correct size.

This is my self taught way of doing it...

Step one I work with 300 res.

Step two When it's time to be done I flatten.

Step three I Click the Constraint proportions and resample mage.

I then change the pixel to 550 and the other number changes.

I then close and reopen and then change the res to 200 and the picture gets a little bigger and then I save.

So that's how I figured out how to post without a tut.

Since you guys were curious, I thought I'd let you know how someone that doesn't know the language sizes a picture.... Either I am doing it right or I'm going way out of my way to do something that is much simpler.

Bottom line I will look forward to the tut to see how the pros do it!

Very quick guide for saving for web. Press ctrl alt shift and S, or File Save for Web. If your saving a normal picture (not a gif) make sure box 1 says JPEG.

Click on the arrow in the quality box (2) and a slider will appear move this slider to adjust the quality of the picture.

The file size appears in the bottom left of the picture (box 3)

Click save and you’re done. Smile
