considering there are only 35 entries as of this moment, I think its possible you're even more of an idiot than I first thought.

Do you get the concept of voting? A contest? Do you understand that it is your job as a responsible voter to vote in one of the following ways:

1. Vote for the BEST 25 entries out of all the entries, based on your own likes and dislikes of course.
   
2. Vote for 25 of your bestest friends on the site (you prolly could get away with 5 in this case, and that still leaves you 1 to vote for someone that isnt actually your alias)
   
3. Vote for any 25 you like in an attempt to swing the results the way you'd like...you'll need more aliases to make a difference for yourself.
   
4. Any combination of the above.
   

an example, you only have 1 vote left...Joemember has a really nice image as does Janemember. OH NO *GASP* what do you do!! Well, Jane is a girl, with nice knockers so you vote for hers...OR joemember has added some extra litte bit in his image that made you giggle to your alias just a little bit harder...BINGO! one gets the vote and the other gets a pat on the back for doing well (via a comment) and you feel good for for doing a stand up job of responsible voting. WOOT WOOT!!

I totally agree with showcase...well, not the idiot part, and I'll take it one step further. I think we already have WAY too many votes.

If we only had 5 votes per contest it would fix so many issues with voting. People would be less likely to vote for friends because you would use your votes wisely.

The contests would be closer and there would be more of a chance of a late entry winning. The same people would win most of the time because they are very talented...not because they have a lot of friends. It would also help us mid to low level choppers because we would feel like we actually have a chance of winning...which would help the experienced people becuase they would have try harder to win.

There are other sites I have entered chops in where "everyone is a winner" and honestly...they sucks. What is the point of trying your best if everyone is going to get a lot of votes?

I understand the point of giving encouragement by voting for an entry but comments should be where encouragement is given...not in votes.

I only use 5 of my votes on every contest. I also wait untill the 3rd day. Sometimes it is difficult, but not everyone can win, and not everyone should win.

I think everyone should get UNLIMITED votes and be able to vote for HIM/HERSELF and others as MANY TIMES AS THEY WANT.

The sorry and ironic fact is that most people not only don't use their 25 votes, some don't bother to vote at all. For instance, the airplane image had 78 entries, yet only 955 votes were made (my math says that IF everyone used their 25 votes, it should've been 1950). That's a big discrepancy and you'll see it happen in almost every contest. I try to vote honestly...even though there's a hell of a lot of genuinely NICE and TALENTED people on this site who'd I love to give a vote for just 'cause they're great. AND I think twice if I like someone's work and have never seen them post a vote for another's work. FYI-- The names of those who usually use their votes for others work is on the home page.

So that's my 2 cents again...

Today's contest, the wonderful classroom, has 44 entries so far; math says that if everyone who just entered the contest uses their 25 votes, there should be 1100 -- so far there's just over 300. I'm overwhelmed by the show of support and question the rationale of people asking for more votes. Good luck with THAT.

...and this whole voting argument is a big waste of time. It's fine the way it is. We don't need any more. Like Eve pointed out, not everyone even USES the 25 votes they have to begin with.

The voting system is fine -- more votes would be overkill. This argument is pointless. Just STFU and chop.
