ScionShade,Thx for the comment. As Tofu and db and also mb suggested I tried to alter the lighting.The first one goes under the title"Teen Blues". After lighting change, it appears to me the teen expressions are lost. What do you think...itz just the same image with altered lighting.

Wow! Thx abunch. Itz like tutorials..I am going to practice and try reproducing them. But how do you do a complex pic like the group of people...?A regular photo as a model?

In all 4 of these pictures I modeled them off of photos I have taken and then removed the photo when I was done. I did them in adobe illustrator but I have done a little work on photoshop like this. I think illustrator is easier to use though once u figure out how to do it.

can you kindly explain the steps, in Illustrator, of this modelling off photograph,...is it by autotrace?

The way that worked best for me was to use the freehand trace tool. I don't have illustrator on my computer currently so I cant check the name of the tool exactly. But you choose a large area of color and trace it and then you use the direct selection tools to move individual points and curves of that shape once you've traced it. That smooths the shape out nicer and you can tweek it how you need to. Sometimes I need to add or delete points on my shape to get the angles I need. I just kind of build up the shapes and decide what shapes are necessary and what can be left out to create the whole image. It takes a while to get the hang of it I think and the real complicated pictures like the protest with all the people took a while. These are part of a collection of work I made for my art portfolio last year. I was going off of something I read by Annie Dillard about sight and the blind when their vision is restored and how it appears in patches of colors.
