But I pop in here now and then, cause I do love many of the peeps here AND I got a lot out of this site in the first year or so...

When I visit now I see these HUGE FRICKIN SIGNATURES at the end of a lot of people's entries in the Forum threads. I mean HUGE!

Does NO ONE ELSE find these things VERY DISTRACTING? They appear at each post and make a thread page (to me) ugly as the south end of my northbound basset hound!

I think they are the height of arrogant over-usage of community space.

I think those who use big signature graphics are trying to compensate for something...

It's not the size of the sig but the way that you use it...(I sound real desperate dont I)

Dearest SplodgeMan - yours is of only Mild HUGE-NESS (your sig, that is ;P ) and it does offer good advice. But for me, you are sadly Way Too Late in keeping me from making an ass of myself!

I think they are big because of the team challenge" but yes they are a little overdone when they are there every single time we should call them billboards!
Maybe we could have a biggest baddest sig contest! then after that put your sig back in your pants!

Although those massive sigs are indeed annoying as hell, I beg not to have controlled sizes. One site I go to does this, and it really just screws with what you can and cannot do. On the other hand, a different other site I go to has mods that just remove someones sig if it is obviously too big. If someone pm's him about it, he checks it out, and if he agrees, he just puts a message in the offending person's sig telling him his banner was to big. But please, don't put actual coded limits.

And yes, a lot of them are giant right now because of the team chop challenge. This is the biggest my sigs ever get. I don't really like it, its pretty ugly, and I mage the stupid thing.

i think if the size of the sig's is limited, we should have the avatar size uped, theis are the smallest avatars i've seen on any site, the margin is 140 wide, why not use it???
