wanted to experiment with transparency and reflections - struggled with blend modes changing during merge! still not satisfied - but wanted to post anyway

Thanks folks the nice comments so far, BX - I appreciate your support and that you could envision what I wanted. I forgot to add before- I'd love to have suggestions about how to get to the transparancy effectively from folks who do know this well
Evelyn Evelyn
and BX - this is ALMOST your blue - I almost called the piece "cobalt"

one more to add - as I'm looking for suggestions these'd be most appropriate in the comments section - no need to vote if you're teaching me something! (won't turn away votes - but that's not what this is about)

Evlyn:. The way i do reflections is i take my original image ans flatten it the I make a duplicate image fade the image from top to bottom and and reduce the opacity to like 60-70 depending on the foreground It also helps if you have a solid foreground

One step I left out : invert the image which i saw u already did.

bx - thank you so much for the reflection advice - looking through the psd file was very helpful. I like how you have the reflection darkest near the object. Thanks for the time you took to help here! :)
Evelyn Evelyn
okay - updated with a gradient reflection on both, more pronounced on the blue glass. Thanks again bx
