dodge and burn areas and maybe a layer or two set to multiply, to break it up ;)

I'm sure theres other ways too, but I find that easier (if you have the drips as seperate layers)

You might could try changing the angles of the drips as they reach the edge too. Just a suggestion, it looks really good!!
