ohhh nice idea! very Dr Wu/digitalpharaoh esqué my only critique, watch your lighting seems like the sun may be coming from straight behind us and a little to the left which would lead to a shadow being cast like the rocks... but it is a magic door so..

Neat idea. If it's a magic portal might I suggest having a different background in the doorway than the rest of the scene? Maybe a tropical paradise to contrast the desert surroundings?
